At the annual Mégadim conference, attorney Ziv Gruman, founder of Gruman & Partners, warned of the dangers associated with demolition-reconstruction projects, where tenants are forced to forgo benefits such as rent and parking to enable the realization of the projects. Gruman emphasized the need to ensure that developers do not make unfeasible promises, especially when it comes to offers for small areas like just 30 square meters. He urged tenants to remain vigilant and demand their rights, to prevent situations where they find themselves in uncomfortable positions due to commitments they cannot fulfill. The current situation highlights significant challenges in the field of urban renewal, as many tenants find themselves fighting for their rights against developers, underscoring the need for better regulation and oversight of these processes.
