Oren Kobi, a real estate entrepreneur declared bankrupt, is asking the Tel Aviv district court to reconsider the temporary payment order requiring him to pay 30,000 shekels per month to the creditors' fund. Kobi, who is under house arrest and barred from engaging in real estate, claims that his earning capacity is "completely zero". He is facing a bankruptcy proceeding that began in 2016, involving over 123 claims totaling approximately 34 million shekels, in addition to debts of his companies amounting to about 239 million shekels. After the Supreme Court rejected his request to appeal the payment order, Kobi submitted an affidavit to the court, stating that the trustee refuses to review the financial reports he submitted, thus keeping him under an unreasonable payment order. Kobi emphasizes that he is working to return to a creditors' arrangement and requests that his financial situation be examined in light of the restrictions imposed on him. He insists on his innocence regarding the criminal charges against him and hopes to reach a practical economic solution.
