The real estate inspector dismissed a lawsuit filed by a first-floor apartment owner against her third-floor neighbors, claiming that water leaks from their flower pots caused damage to her apartment. The plaintiff argued that the water caused cloudiness of the marble on her balcony and mold in her apartment, but the neighbors, through attorney Karin Shimon, claim there is no connection between the damages in her apartment and theirs, as there is no moisture in the apartment separating them. The inspector appointed an expert, who determined that the damages stemmed from issues in the plaintiff's own drainage system and not from the neighbors. The inspector accepted the expert's opinion and decided that the plaintiff failed to prove her claims, and therefore was ordered to pay court costs of 15,000 shekels and expert fees of 1,500 shekels. Attorney Shai Sultan, representing the plaintiff, argues that the inspector made an error in her ruling, and the matter may lead to further lawsuits in the future.
