In July, a significant decline in apartment sales was observed in Israel, with 7,600 apartments sold, a decrease of about 14% compared to June. The drop in new apartment sales is particularly notable, plummeting by 20% to 2,930 apartments. Of these, only 1,820 apartments were sold in the free market, a decrease of 26% compared to the previous month. In the second-hand market, a more moderate decline of 9% was recorded, with 4,670 apartments sold. Despite the decline in July, data from the last three months indicate a 20.8% increase in sales, mainly in the new apartment market, where a 30.4% increase was noted. Tel Aviv-Jaffa led in new apartment sales, with a 22.6% increase, while cities like Ashdod and Kiryat Gat saw significant rises. However, the inventory of unsold new apartments remains high, with about 84,990 apartments, indicating challenges in the real estate market.
