During the year 2025, the General Guardian in Israel returned 264 real estate properties worth approximately 59.7 million shekels to rights holders and heirs. The data indicates an increase in the use of enduring power of attorney, with 34% of cases where individuals lost their legal capacity during the year being conducted through this power. In the inheritance registrar system, over 51,000 requests for inheritance certificates and probate certificates were processed, with only 2% of them being transferred to the courts. Additionally, a significant increase in demand for the expedited inheritance registration route at the land registry was recorded, with about 20% more requests compared to the previous year. In the area of Holocaust victims' properties, 24 properties worth approximately 28 million shekels were released, eight times more than the previous year. The reforms launched during the year led to shorter processing times and reduced the burden on the courts, easing the situation for many families.
