Within 48 hours of the ban on Palestinian workers entering the settlements of Judea and Samaria due to the security escalation, the Central Command announced the lifting of the restriction and the return of the workers to work. However, the employment of Palestinian workers inside the Green Line remains prohibited. The chairman of the Renovation Contractors Association, Eran Sib, expressed sharp criticism of the government's handling, claiming that this is a security zigzag that indicates criminal negligence. He questioned how it is possible to stop the entry of workers following attacks, only to cancel the decision two days later. Sib also pointed out the issue of illegal residents, with about 30,000 Palestinians entering Israel daily without supervision, and being employed in the construction and renovation sector. He called on the government to act responsibly and strategically to prevent further security risks.
