The Haifa Regional Planning and Building Committee approved a plan for the establishment of a new residential neighborhood in Hadera, which will include approximately 5,000 housing units and 100,000 m² of commercial and employment areas. The neighborhood will span 794 dunams and will be located between Highway 4 and the Hadera Forest, with easy access to public transportation such as the Hadera West train station. The plan, developed by the local committee and Psagot Yam Company, also includes the planning of new transport routes that will connect the neighborhood to the urban transport network.
As part of the plan, about 60% of the area will be allocated for public purposes, including a large park, educational institutions, and public spaces. Hadera's mayor, Nir Ben Haim, noted that this is a significant moment for the city's development, with an emphasis on balanced planning that will provide residents with housing, employment, and public services within walking distance. The new neighborhood is expected to enhance the quality of life in the city and strengthen the connection between different parts of the city.
